Franklin United Football Club was formed in 2016 with a simple goal: to help local footballers stay local while still having access to high-quality development and future opportunities.
In the past, talented players from the Franklin region often had to leave the area to pursue their football goals. This placed additional pressure on families — socially, financially and logistically. Franklin United exists so those opportunities can be accessed within our own community, while keeping community football strong.
Franklin United’s member clubs are Pukekohe AFC, Drury FC and Tuakau Soccer Club. Through partnership agreements, these clubs share a common purpose: providing the environment, culture and pathways that enable players, coaches and referees to achieve their full potential in football.
Community football remains at the heart of the region. Franklin United’s role is to focus on development and talent pathways for those who want more, working alongside - not instead of - our member clubs.
Participation in Franklin United programs is optional and designed to complement, not replace, community football.
We work with our member clubs to:

- Create a clear, sustainable pathway for players, coaches and referees from Franklin
Our region stretches from Drury to Mercer, and Waiuku to Bombay, with Pukekohe at its heart. Football participation in Franklin is strong and growing, and our aim is to ensure every child can enjoy the game at a level that suits them.
