Franklin United would like to welcome Simon Andruchow who joins the Club as part of the Reserves Coaching staff for 2020.
Simon moved to New Zealand at the age of 20 and has since made the Franklin region his home playing for Pukekohe AFC and Waiuku AFC for over a decade. Whilst playing in the area he has also coached a number of teams at junior and youth level.
In his final season at Waiuku AFC he was also the Assistant Coach for the Men’s First Team that won the League Title and the Counties Cup. It was at this point coaching became a passion and he hasn’t looked back!
Since then Simon has had coaching roles at Papakura AFC and more recently as a Reserve team coach for Pukekohe AFC with a number of players making the step up to the Pukekohe First Team and onto the Franklin Reserve team set up. Under his guidance the Pukekohe team came 3rd place.
Simon has a real passion for up-skilling and pushing players to their potential on and off the field. He takes great pride in seeing his players succeed, making him a great fit for Franklin United.
